Overlay Widgets: Alerts
Alerts are one-time notifications that appear on an event (new follower, sub, donation, etc.), plus list widgets that permanently show several events or your chat. Menu: Overlay → Designer (Beta) → Add widget → Alerts. The shared design options (opacity, background, corner radius, etc.) are in the guide Overlay widgets: basics.
Shared fields of every alert widget
Each of the following widgets (Follower, Sub, Tip, Cheer, Raid, Bot, Ko-fi Extra) shares these base fields:

Alert: Follower
Default text: {name} ist jetzt ein Follower!
Alert: Subscriber
Default text: {name} hat abonniert!
Extra field: minimum amount (default: 0).
Alert: Tip
Default text: {name} hat über {provider} {amount}€ gespendet!{payment_type}
Placeholders: {provider} (which donation provider), {payment_type} (empty for a one-time donation, " (Abo)" for a recurring Ko-fi support without its own tier).
Extra field: minimum amount (default: 0).
Alert: Cheer
Default text: {name} hat {amount} Bits gecheert!
Extra field: minimum bits (default: 0).
Alert: Raid
Default text: {name} raidet mit {amount} Zuschauern!
Extra field: minimum viewers (default: 0).
Alert: Bot
Shows messages from automations via the "Trigger alert in overlay" action.
Default text: {name}: {alert_type}
Extra fields: filter by label (empty = reacts to every automation with this action), your own name for this widget (so you can pick it specifically in the automation if you place several Bot widgets).
Alert: Ko-fi Extra
Shows Ko-fi memberships and shop orders together.
Default text: {name} {kofi_action}! (resolves to "ist jetzt Mitglied" or "hat im Shop bestellt")
Extra fields: show memberships (on), show shop orders (on).
Recent followers / subscribers / donations / Ko-fi extras
Rotating or scrolling display of the latest events (instead of just a single alert).

Shows a list of the latest events of every kind at once.

FAQ
What's the difference between "Alert: Tip" and "Recent donations"? "Alert: Tip" shows a single, one-time alert. "Recent donations" permanently shows a rotating list of the latest donations.
What does {payment_type} mean for donations?
It's empty for a normal one-time donation, and becomes " (Abo)" for a recurring Ko-fi support without its own chosen tier.
Why don't I see a message on the Bot alert? Check whether the triggering automation actually uses the "Trigger alert in overlay" action, and whether a label filter you may have set matches the automation.
