Channel Points Management

This page manages your Twitch channel points rewards directly through the Twitch connection. Changes go live on Twitch immediately. Menu: Channel → Channel Points.

This page is only available for Twitch.

Requirement

This page needs an extended Twitch connection. If the page shows a notice about missing permissions, log in with Twitch again using the shown link.

Overview

The table shows all rewards for your channel, including ones you created directly in the Twitch dashboard.

Column Meaning
Color The reward's background color
Reward Reward name. A note shows whether it was "Created on Twitch, only editable there" or "Paused"
Cost Cost in channel points
Status Active or Inactive

Rewards you created directly in the Twitch dashboard can only be viewed here, not edited. This is a limitation from Twitch itself: an application may only change rewards it created itself.

Creating a reward

The "Create reward" button opens a form with the following fields:

General

Field What it does Default
Reward name Displayed title, up to 45 characters -
Description (optional) Short description, up to 200 characters -
Cost (points) Point cost 100
Background color The reward's color on Twitch Default color
Input required Viewers must enter text when redeeming Off
Skip reward request queue Redemptions are marked fulfilled immediately and do not need review Off
Active Whether the reward can be redeemed at all Active
Paused Only visible while editing. Paused rewards stay visible but cannot be redeemed -

A reward icon cannot be uploaded through this page, that is only possible directly in the Twitch dashboard.

Cooldown and limits

Turn on "Use cooldown & limits" to set the following fields:

Field What it does Default
Redemption cooldown Minimum time between two redemptions of the reward, up to 7 days. Leave empty for no cooldown -
Unit Seconds, minutes, hours or days Minutes
Max per stream Maximum total redemptions per stream. Empty = unlimited -
Max per viewer per stream How many times a single viewer may redeem per stream. Empty = unlimited -

Managing a reward

For every reward you created yourself, the table offers these actions (rewards created on Twitch have no actions available):

Action What happens
Edit Opens the same form as creating, pre-filled with the current values
Pause / Resume Toggles the reward paused or active again
Active / Inactive (toggle) Fully turns the reward on or off
Delete Permanently removes the reward, after confirmation

If Twitch rejects a change (for example because of invalid values), the page shows you the exact error message from Twitch and the form stays open, so you do not have to type everything again.

FAQ

Why can't I edit or delete a reward? This reward was created directly in the Twitch dashboard. Twitch only allows changes through the interface for rewards created by the same application.

How do I upload an icon for my reward? That is only possible directly in the Twitch dashboard, not through this panel.

What is the difference between "Paused" and "Inactive"? A paused reward stays visible to viewers but cannot currently be redeemed. An inactive (disabled) reward disappears entirely.

My change was rejected, why? The page shows you the exact error message from Twitch. Common causes are values that are too high for cost or limits.
