Broadcasts

This page summarizes everything that was live on your platforms. Menu: Community → Broadcasts.

The page only shows up in the menu once you have connected more than one platform to your dashboard. If you only stream on Twitch, you don't need this overview, since your regular statistics already show everything that would appear here.

What the page is for

A broadcast combines everything that was live on your platforms at the same time, with numbers per platform and in total. For example, if you go live on Twitch and another platform at the same time, the dashboard counts that as one shared broadcast instead of two separate streams. If a platform starts within 10 minutes of a broadcast that is already running, it still gets added to it instead of counting as a new broadcast.

The numbers are recalculated every time you open the page. Nothing extra is stored for this, so your actual recording is never changed.

Layout of the page

Each broadcast appears as its own box with:

  • The date and time it started.
  • The duration in minutes, once the broadcast has ended.
  • A red Live badge while the broadcast is still running.
  • A badge for every platform involved (for example Twitch).

Below that is a table with one row per platform:

Column What it shows
Platform Which platform this part of the broadcast ran on
Viewers (peak) Highest concurrent viewer count on that platform
New followers How many new followers that platform gained during the broadcast
Chat messages Number of chat messages on that platform during the broadcast
Details Extra information that differs by platform (for Twitch, for example, your stream title)

If more than one platform was part of the broadcast, a bold Total row follows at the end. The viewer number there is an upper bound: it's the sum of each platform's peak, even if those peaks did not happen at the same time. New followers and chat messages, on the other hand, are simply added up across platforms.

If a platform reconnects while a broadcast is still running (for example after a short connection drop), the dashboard keeps counting it as the same broadcast and adds up the counters.

FAQ

Why don't I see the "Broadcasts" page in my menu? The page is only visible once you have connected more than one platform. With only Twitch connected you don't need it, your usual statistics are enough.

Why is the viewer number in the Total row higher than I expected? The total viewer number is the sum of each platform's peak. If your viewers moved back and forth between platforms, they may have been counted twice, since the peaks did not necessarily happen at the same time.

What happens if I briefly lose connection and then keep streaming? As long as the gap is shorter than 10 minutes, it stays the same broadcast. The counters simply keep running, no second broadcast is created.

Can I delete or edit old broadcasts here? No. The page only shows a summary of data you have already recorded, it cannot be changed here.
