Bot Soul
Bot Soul decides how your bot sounds in its AI replies: name, character, tone, preferred phrases and forbidden behavior. Menu: Bot → Bot Soul. This page only appears if you use your own bot account (not the shared bot).
Two editing modes
Switch to expert mode and Switch to simple mode toggle between two views:
- Simple mode: structured fields that the bot automatically combines into one text.
- Expert mode: a single large text field where you write the whole AI instruction yourself. Switching from simple to expert mode automatically generates and prefills the text from your current fields.
Simple mode
| Field | Required | Limit | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bot name | yes | 100 characters | Name the bot uses in its replies. If left empty, "Bot von [your Twitch name]" is used when saving |
| Character | yes | 1000 characters | Description of the bot's personality and nature |
| Communication styles | - | - | Multiple choice from relaxed, formal, witty, direct, emotional, sarcastic, energetic, calm |
| Emote frequency | default: normal | - | How often the bot uses emotes: never, rarely, normal, a lot, very much |
| Typical phrases | - | 5 fields | Sentences the bot prefers to use, empty fields are skipped when saving |
| Forbidden behaviors | - | 5 fields | Things the bot must never do or say |
Expert mode
A 14-line text field where you write the entire identity text freely. Here you have full control over the AI instruction, without the structure of simple mode.
Preview
The Preview button shows a window with how the currently saved instruction text looks, along with your simple fields and the chosen mode. If no bot soul exists yet, the preview shows an empty state.
Saving
Saving in expert mode takes your text directly as the instruction. In simple mode the bot automatically builds a combined text from it.
FAQ
Why do I not see this page? Bot Soul only exists with your own bot account. If you use the shared bot, the page is missing from the menu.
Do my simple fields get lost when I switch to expert mode? No, they stay saved, only the view changes. You can switch back at any time.
