Minecraft and Hytale

Minecraft interventions
This page connects your Twitch channel to a Minecraft or Hytale server. Viewers use Twitch channel points to interfere directly with the game: they heal you, drop a giant on you, make lightning strike, or give you an item. Menu: Bot Minigames → Minecraft.
The TikTok gift variant of this page is planned and in progress.
What the page is for
Here you set up which server is connected, which players can be targeted, which action is triggered by which Twitch channel points reward, and how often that is allowed to happen in a given time. Without a server and without players entered, nothing happens.
Setting up a server
At the top, the Server section shows the current connection status (for example "Minecraft · Plugin connected (v1.8.0, 3 players online) · RCON set up" or "Plugin not connected") and below it the server selection.
Add your own server
The Add your own server button creates a new server. You can have up to 3 own servers at the same time.
| Field | What it means | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Game | Minecraft or Hytale | Cannot be changed after creation |
| Name | Name you will recognize in the server list | up to 80 characters |
| RCON address (optional) | Address of your Minecraft server for the additional RCON connection | Minecraft only, public addresses only, no private/internal addresses |
| RCON port | Port of the RCON service | Minecraft only, default 25575 |
| RCON password | Password of the RCON service | Minecraft only, stored encrypted, leave empty when editing to keep the current one |
Hytale has no RCON fields, Hytale runs only through the plugin. For Minecraft, the RCON fields are entirely optional: leave them empty and everything runs through the plugin alone.
After saving a new server you immediately get a message with:
- the plugin key (for you only, do not share it)
- the download link for the plugin
- the address the plugin connects to
- the path of the settings file where the address and key need to be entered (
plugins/StreamBridge/config.ymlfor Minecraft,mods/Eranio_StreamBridge/config.jsonfor Hytale)
The exact installation steps are described in the plugin's own guide that comes with the download.
Editing a server, creating a new key, removing a server
The My server menu (only shown when the selected server belongs to you) offers three actions:
- Edit server: change name, RCON address, port and password.
- Create new plugin key: creates a new key. The old key stops working right away, you then need to replace it in the plugin's settings file.
- Remove server: the server disappears from your list and the plugin loses its connection. Nothing changes on the Minecraft or Hytale server itself, the plugin stays installed, it just stops reporting in.
Servers made available to you
The server list can also contain a server that eranio.de made available to you in addition to your own (for example a shared test server). Such servers are shown without the "(own server)" suffix, and while you can still select them and set up players, safety and actions for them, you cannot edit or delete them yourself.
Paused and big title
| Setting | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Paused | While on, Twitch channel points rewards trigger nothing. The test button still works. | off |
| Big title in game | Shows the name of the viewer who triggered the action large in the middle of the screen. When off, the name only appears small above the hotbar. | on |
In-game live announcement
When you go live, every player on the connected server automatically gets a chat message with a clickable link to your stream.
| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| Text | Your own announcement text. Placeholders: {streamer} for your name on the platform, {plattform} for "Twitch". Leave empty for the default text. |
| Link | Your own link. Must start with https://. Leave empty to use your channel's live link. |
Safety
This section protects against too many interventions happening at once or too close together. It does not apply to the test button.
| Setting | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Safety rules on | On: actions that fall into a cooldown or exceed the per-minute limit are simply skipped. Off: nothing is skipped, all actions instead run one after another, with the overall cooldown as the gap between them. Effects and freezing are never skipped either way. | on |
| Global cooldown (seconds) | Minimum gap between two actions, no matter who triggers them | 0 to 600 |
| Cooldown per viewer (seconds) | Minimum gap before the same viewer may trigger another action | 0 to 3600 |
| At most per minute | How many actions in total run within one minute | 1 to 120 |
Players
Only players listed here can be targeted by an action, never anyone else on the server, even if they are online there.
| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| Display name | Freely chosen name, shown for example in the target selection |
| Minecraft name | The actual player name. For Bedrock players (console, phone, through Geyser) add a dot in front, for example .Kim |
| Can receive help | Whether actions from the "Help" group can be assigned to this player |
| Can be sabotaged | Whether actions from the "Sabotage" group can be assigned to this player |
| Rank | Player, Mod or Streamer |
You can list up to 25 players.
Mod rank: sees a sidebar in game with every triggered action and is never targeted by an action itself.
Streamer rank: gets a "● LIVE" shown after their own name in game and a live sidebar while this panel counts as live.
Import from whitelist reads your server's whitelist (through RCON if set up, otherwise through the plugin) and automatically adds names that are not yet listed as new players. Names already present are not added twice. After importing you still need to save the page.
Items and loot boxes
This section applies to Minecraft only, it is hidden for Hytale. The choice of items comes straight from your server: the plugin reports which items exist on the server after every restart, with name and image. Viewers can only be given what is listed here.
Give item: a list of items with weight, minimum and maximum amount. Weight determines the chance: an item with weight 20 is chosen twice as often as one with weight 10. The amount is rolled between min and max every time it triggers.
Loot boxes: your own lists of several items (same structure as above), from which multiple items are chosen every time it triggers, between the configured minimum and maximum roll counts.
Two helper actions at the top of the section:
- Add presets: adds ready-made loot boxes (you choose which) and optionally a neutral item list for "Give item". Existing entries stay unchanged. You can still adjust everything afterwards, it is only saved once you press Save.
- Random loot box: automatically assembles a loot box from random items on your server (you can set the name, number of different items, number of rolls and the highest amount per item beforehand). You can then adjust it below, and you need to save.
Twitch channel points
Here you link channel points rewards to actions in the game. Each reward can have exactly one action.
Create new reward: creates the reward directly on your Twitch channel (enter a name and the cost in channel points). Afterwards you just pick an action and target and save.
Reload rewards: fetches the current state of your Twitch channel points rewards again, for example if you changed them directly on Twitch.
For each linked reward:
| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| Reward | Which Twitch channel points reward triggers the action |
| Action | Which action (see below) runs |
| Target | Random player (online), All players (online), or a specific listed player |
| Settings | Extra values for the action, for example duration or strength |
You can link up to 20 rewards, each reward may only appear once (the page warns you on save if a reward is used more than once).
About refunds: if an action cannot run (server paused, server unreachable, cooldown, nobody online), the viewer automatically gets their channel points back. This only works for rewards that were created using the Create new reward button on this page.
The actions
Every action belongs to a group: Help (benefits the target, for example healing or giving an item) or Sabotage (bothers the target, for example freezing or spawning monsters). The selection list shows the group after the name, actions marked "plugin" only work when the plugin is installed (not through RCON alone).
Some actions affect all players at once instead of a single target (for example Night for everyone, Thunderstorm for everyone, Day and clear weather); for these the target selection has no effect.
Depending on the action, extra fields appear:
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Duration (seconds) | How long the effect lasts |
| Strength (1 to 5) | How strong the effect is |
| Count | How many units (for example experience levels or monsters) |
| Radius (blocks) | The radius the action affects |
| Item | Which item from your own list is given |
| Loot box | Which of your loot boxes is opened |
| Mob, animal, boss | Which type is chosen |
| Sound | Which scare sound is played |
Available actions (name, group, extra fields):

Testing an action and checking the connection
Two buttons are available at the top of the page:
Test action: runs any action right away, even when the server is paused. You choose the action, target and a name for the "viewer" (default: "Test"); the player has to be online. After running it, a message shows for each player whether it worked.
Check connection: checks whether your server can be reached. If RCON is set up, RCON is checked, otherwise the plugin status. On success, the message also shows who is online.
Typical workflow
- Create a server (choose the game, enter a name, fill in RCON fields only if you need them).
- Install the plugin on your Minecraft or Hytale server, enter the key from the message into the settings file, reload the server.
- Confirm with Check connection that the plugin reports in.
- List your players (yourself and your fellow players), use Import from whitelist if helpful.
- For Minecraft: set up items and loot boxes, the presets are enough to start.
- Create a Twitch channel points reward and link it to an action.
- Try it out with Test action, then Save.
FAQ
Why does nothing happen when a viewer redeems the reward? Check Check connection first. If the plugin does not report in, either the server is not running, or the address/key in the settings file are wrong. Also check whether the server is paused, whether the player is online, and whether the cooldown is currently active.
Does the viewer get their points back if it fails? Yes, if the reward was created using the Create new reward button on this page. For rewards created elsewhere, the automatic refund does not work.
Can a viewer who plays on the server but is not listed be targeted? No. Only listed players can be the target of an action.
What is the difference between RCON and the plugin? The plugin is enough on its own, it installs like any other plugin and needs no open port. RCON is an additional, optional connection for a few simple commands like the whitelist lookup, if you already have it set up. Hytale has no RCON, everything there runs through the plugin.
Why don't I see anything under "Items and loot boxes" even though I set up Hytale? This section only exists for Minecraft. Hytale still has the "Give item" action, just without its own item list.
Why can't I edit or delete my server? That only works for servers you created yourself. If a server was additionally made available to you, you can select it and set it up for yourself, but you cannot edit or delete it.
