Unban Requests

Unban Requests
Here you handle unban requests that viewers have submitted through Twitch: approve or deny them, with an optional reason. Menu: Moderation → Unban Requests. This page is only visible for Twitch streamers.
How a viewer submits a request is handled by Twitch itself (through the viewer's own Twitch interface). This page only manages requests that have already come in.
Handling requests
Each request offers two actions:
Approve request
Opens a window with an optional text field for a reason (up to 500 characters). After confirming, the status "approved" is sent to Twitch together with your reason, and the viewer is unbanned.
Deny request
Works the same way as approving, except the status "deny" is sent. The reason is optional here too.
Possible errors
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| No channel connected | Error message, no streamer context |
| Twitch connection missing or invalid | Error message, no valid token |
| Twitch token needs refreshing and the refresh fails | Error message, no valid token |
| Twitch's API reports an error | Error message with the text Twitch returned |
If there are no requests, the list simply stays empty.
FAQ
How does a viewer submit an unban request? That happens directly through Twitch, not through the dashboard. Viewers submit the request through the corresponding Twitch feature in their own account.
Can I change a reason afterwards? No, the reason is sent to Twitch directly when you approve or deny the request, and cannot be changed afterwards.
Why don't I see this page? Unban requests only exist on Twitch. TikTok: planned and in progress.
