The hint tile does not appear in the console

• Either no source is configured for this server, or the source is missing a way to read the installed version. Check this on the "Update Sources" page with the "Test" action.
• The last check is older than two minutes and was not "update available". Opening the console automatically triggers a new check in the background in this case, a short reload of the page is usually enough afterwards.

Status stays unknown

The exact reason is shown as a small text under the status in the Update Overview, for example an unreachable source, an unreadable file, a JSON path that was not found, a server variable that cannot be compared, empty or "latest", or a missing Steam manifest. Use the test action on the source to see the exact reason for a specific server.

GitHub source fails or stays unknown

Without a saved GitHub token, GitHub allows only 60 requests per hour for the whole panel, which is used up quickly with several GitHub sources or frequent checks. Add a fine grained GitHub token under Settings, this raises the limit to 5,000 requests per hour.

Egg image is not found

Not every game has a Steam, GitHub or IGDB image in a usable quality. The "Not found" status is retried automatically after 7 days, an error after 60 minutes. "Image from Steam app" lets you set an image by hand from a known Steam app ID, for example when a game is listed under a different name or app ID than expected.
